it's been hanging in the house of smokes plus cooking grease how do I clean it without damaging it. It was pruchase overseas when my husband was serving and now that I have it back would like to rehang it. thanks so very much Joan

If you mean its the last supper in silver or silver overlay in a wood frame! Use white toothpaste (not gel) and a damp tooth brush. Gently brush to loosen the grime. Wipe off as you go along with a clean cloth. Try in a small spot first and see how it comes out. I use white toothpaste on jewelry, copper, brass, creamics, rubber sneakers, plastics I sell on Ebay
