Use velcro tape or stretch tie.

Do you mean like sticky velcro on the fence then a velcro loop around the branch? The stretch tie... like they use at the nursery? Hmmm don't know how to attach that... can't access the other side of the fence... but an idea to think about.

You can get a trellis at your local home improvement store for under $20. Maybe slide it behind your plant and in front of your fence. The velcro Joan is talking about is gardening velcro. You can get it in the gardening department. It is gentle tape that allows you to secure plant branches and vines to trellis', stakes etc...this allows the plant to grow in an upward direction safely and securely.

Thank you! That velcro sounds like a good idea for my situation, never heard of it before.
