We have so many deer in our small town AND there will be more born soon! They
are so nice to see, however they are eating everything that I have planted. I own a sports camp and guests like to see them, but enough is enough. I have at least 15 each and every morning and evening, HELP me someone. This gets very costly and I don't have just a small space to cover, oh they even eating Day Lily's that cover a huge area. Thank you all for listening, I live in Maine.

I just commented on another question like this. I use a granular product called Deer Scram. You sprinkle it as a barrier around the garden. it contains dried blood and Deer avoid anything dead (it's a natural instinct to avoid disease). It works, but it's a little pricey. I get in on Amazon. I've tried dryer sheets, soap, spray, you name it. This was recommended to me by a friend who was the groundskeeper at the local country club. And it does work! Just make sure to read the directions and refresh as recommended.

They are not fond of strong scented plants so perhaps you can add in some planters of thyme or anise. Some herbs will just take a garden over so I keep them in containers. My brother had luck with scattering deodorant soap that was strongly scented and planting crown imperials between his flowers, but I don't know if they would thrive so far north?
