How did you join pieces together to make structures stable?

Hi. This is so lovely. I'm collecting items to build my own. How did you join the pieces together to make the whole structure stable please? I don't want mine to fall or blow over. Thanks Jenny.

If you're referring to a shelving unit , the individual pieces were probably anchored to the wall studs with wood screws.
you can also screw them to each other to add weight and stability
Yes definitely screw big bookcase to the wall studs. They even make earthquake fixtures to do this.
