This may be crazy... Years ago the neighbor would dig them up and wrap them in paper and keep them in the refrigerator for the warm season. Then replant them in the spring. Iris. 🌷. Daffodils.

My suggestion: Set them inside a garage on Styrofoam, in a corner & water once a month until you see new growth in Spring. Then slowly bring them out as the new growth comes on & the weather is conducive to the plants, making sure you water them as they start into their new growth cycle. NOTE: most plants are supposed to dry-out over winter...it prevents freezing & rotting of the plant...check what is needed for your plant type. Happy Gardening!

Double check to see which ones you should water, some of them you don't, bulbs don't require water until very close to spring, usually plants will start 'popping up' as they think it's spring...if they come up, then water them to keep them from wilting or dying back. Watering too much will cause them to freeze, then to rot...so when you water, make sure it's in the morning so they will not be freezing in the overnight cold temperature of winter. Happy Gardening!
