  • Yes. Once the bed has been amended and level, cover with good quality landscape fabric. Then lay out your plants. Cut an "x" where you plop your plant into the ground making sure to give it breathing room. When plants are in, cover with a couple inches of mulch. OR plant you plants and surround with cardboard or newspapers, then cover with mulch. Any weeds that do appear, and they will, are on top of the ground cover, are shallow rooted and easy to pluck out and dispose of. I walk around every day plucking little weeds that magically appear, and always keeps it looking as neat as possible. Have fun! A new flowerbed is a thing of beauty! 🌹🌷🌾

Yes first put down heavy professional landscape material.Place your plants where you want them and cut the fabric enogh to be able to plant. Once done put the fabric loosely around the plants. Finally apply two inches of mulch.
