The best thing to do is make a visit to your local nursery or garden shop. They should carry plants that are good your area. Pick plants that please the eye, some tall, some trailing and some purely just for the color. Look on Pinterest and on Hometalk for garden ideas. There are many. U se your favorite colors. Candy tuft makes a good show for trailing. I like purple petunias and red geraniums myself. Then I had a tall spiked plant in center. A little dab of yellow is also good.
