Sure go to dollar store and see if you can find the larger pill boxes, or maybe a craft store for storage ideas. Look around to see what's available. I find a lot of good stuff at garage sales.
By geological type
Craft and hobby stores sell all kinds of boxes to place little things in. I bought embroidery floss boxes for my earrings in my jewelry drawer.
You could group them together by colour using craft boxes (the plastic divided ones) & keep a master list of what's in each.
How big are they? how much space do you have?
