    Definitely need a picture of what you have now. I'm doing something similar (to what you explained) with my cabinets. They're 40+ years old & need a facelift. I'm trying to find the perfect style/colors of some peel-&-stick shelf paper. Gonna cut to size & put over the cabinet doors.

    You might want to consider getting new doors. Cheaper than all new cabinets.

    I vote for paint. The paints now have primer built in. There are products that can be painted on for prepping for paint. No sanding.
