Looking for some kind of plant for under my deck...ideas?

Its a small area and not much sun. Also it gets flooded with hard rain.

    If water is an issue make a portable container garden and plant shade loving perennials.

    Maybe you want to put river rock under there instead. It would help with drainage and look really pretty too.

    Ajuga would probably work, loves the shade and does well in wet spots. A low growth pattern with pretty blue flowers (maybe 6" tall) in the Spring. I comes

    with either plain green leaves or "bronze' eaves. Fills in nicely and will help prevent weeds by forming a mat.

    Macho fern fills in and lives through our occasional river flooding :-)
