Is it good to use Epsom salt on my plants?

What plants are you using it on?

Use around any plant..not on the plant..on the soil..gently dig in..soil today in this century is almost devoid of this life sustaining mineral...sustains life and the plant's natural defense systems...it does the same for us folks..we would like to see all gardeners soak in a warm epsom salts bath..first to relieve the welcome aches and pains, because we are creating a landscape that will either feed our soul or our body...and second..because our skin is the largest organ we possess..epsom salts enters that way without a "laxative" effect..relaxes and removes muscular pain without toxicity of OTC drugs...BTW...re quantity.. shake liberally so that it can be seen - either water in or deposit during a soft rain...or just before a "soft" rain...this stuff is precious ... you don't want it running away from the roots...that is where it perfoms its' magic...larger plants, deeper colours, longer lasting blooms...what can I say...this is a God given mineral...personally I am stocking up on it..in the event of difficult procurement.Roz

I use Epsom salts in the garden all the time. It is great for all the reasons Rozmund mentioned and it will eliminate end blossom rot on tomatoes. too. I scratch a little bit into the soil around each plant when I transplant them and again later in the season for an additional boost of magnesium if my plants seem a little tired. My tomatoes, peppers,green beans,eggplant, and even the grass in our lawn love it.
