Place crushed eggshells down,a tray of beer,food grade diatomaceous earth.
I've never tried it, but I've heard that beer works.
If killing them is ok with you, salt, it fries them immediately, I lived in Oregon so I know this, it's gross. They'll get in your house!
Saucers of beer work, also a product sold at garden stores called Sluggo.
Definitely a low container of beer that is set in the dirt to make it easy for the slugs to hop in. A never fail for me
Depends on whether or not you have other animals you like. When I put out a plate of beer one of my dogs found it tasty. Ok, fail. So I put cat litter around and under each of my potted plants. That worked!
