Yes, You aren't going to drown them with a lot of water. Fine mist works well. Deep watering is for the ground level.
I mist my tomato plants to keep them perky, but it gets REALLY hot where I live.
Don't recall the name of the fertilizer but it came with a bottle that connected to the hose. Used it on the whole garden. Always thought it was ok since all the stuff they put in the city water doesn't seem to bother them. Anyway mine survived and had a fairly nice crop.
yes, I spray mine with every watering. If your plant is producing fruit or vegetables, I would spray with miracle grow once in a while.
My husband is the green thumb here and he sprays with miracle grow, plus takes our egg shells and banana peels and buries them around the plants.
