Can I transplant hydroponic plants?

I have an Aero Garden where you grow things hydroponically with liquid- I wanted to transplant the larger herbs into soil but it doesn't seem to work. The plant dies. Can anyone tell what I am doing wrong ? I should be able to transplant them, shouldn't I ?

I understood that the roots that form in hydroponic solutions are too delicate to do well in soil. So, it's not you! I haven't watched the videos here yet, maybe I'll learn something!

I had a hard time also. Learned that you are supposed to transplant each pod before the roots get all tangled. I used the little pods for my garden this time, and transplanted each one and when weather permitted transplanted them into the garden. They are all doing just great. The little pods don't have the plastic cone on them. I think it was very hard to cut the cone off the plant. Hope this helps.
