Make a spray with white vinegar and water 50/50a dab of dish soap and a dab of salt.
I have used white vinegar. I just poured it in between the bricks and let the sun do its job. They came right out!
Salt also works.
I use a quart of white or cider vinegar, and a teaspoon of blue dish detergent, in a spray bottle. It works best (and fastest) if you use it on a sunny day.
