Judy Ferrellon May 2, 2017if you apply Scotts Turf builder in the spring it will get rid of them. It might take a while but you will get a better lawn.HelpfulReply

- Tara Southeron May 2, 2017Leave them alone. The bees love the dandelions & summer heat will take care of those flowers.HelpfulReply
- Kathi M. Mileson May 2, 2017If you really feel the need to get rid of them, make a homemade spray of half water, half vinegar and a few drops of dish soap. Spray that on the leaves till they are wet on a sunny day. It will go all the way to the root and kill them and won't hurt the ground or pets. Just be very careful not to get spray on anything you don't want to kill. I do not use it to kill dandelions, I harvest them to eat!! I make dandelion jelly, and the leaves make a good addition to salads as well as good cooked greens!HelpfulReply
- Alice Kautzon May 2, 2017Thanks everyone! My neighbor thinks I have a lawn of weeds. He is always applying stuff on his grass. Wonder how safe are the the applications? Rabbits and birds are on my grass, so I'm assuming they know it's safe.🙂HelpfulReply

Katherine Anneon May 2, 2017Measure approximately two tablespoons of blue Dawn dishwashing detergent to 1 gallon of vinegar. Adjust measurements, regarding the amount of weed killer, dependent upon the amount of weed killer that you need. Shake It Up and spray on the weeds. Make sure you do not get it on anything that you do not want to die...like the grass close by or plants. It is non toxic to pets and children. It will taste awful, but will not hurt anyone!HelpfulReply
