What's a proven home remedy deer repellent?

I have tried everything, home made sprays, commercial sprays, garlic, hot sauce, dial soap, rotten eggs, human hair from the barber...nothing works! Even commercial deer sprays do not work here. We must have robot deer since they do not care what they eat and what is on it....so frustrating!!

try stringing fishing line about 2 feet from the ground around the plants

MY deer simply poke through any fencing and pull the plants through so they can bite off what they want ....so I don't think fishing line will help...they will simply step over to get at the plants...the fish line does keep out the herons from my fish pond...it is strung over the water back and forth....whew these critters are very invasive. Thanks though!

There are several remedies. One would be to shave a bar of Irish Spring soap and spread it around your plants. Another would be to add 4 parts water to 2 parts cinnamon oil and spray on the plants lightly.
