Is there any way to keep yard lizards off the patio furniture?

Covers don't help; they just go under the covers and hide there.

Not that I know of. The usually don't do any damage and are great little guys to have around the house and yard for eating bugs. Are they causing a problem at your home? I'm guessing they scare you half to death when you take off the cover ;)
