There's a shrub called Butterfly Bush because it is typically covered in butterflies all summer long. An easy-care shrub, it features fragrant flowers in shades of blue, purple, and white.

Depends upon your location, in the Gulf South we use lots of lantana, monarda, shrimp plants, daylilies, roses, butterfly weed, Joe Pye weed, salvias etc.
Lantana is the top choice. It will grow in most any climate and will flower all summer long. Can stand the heat and drought as well. Oh and yes, you'll see butterflies all over them!
