Using a pressure washer would probably be the fastest

If you don't have a pressure washer...a little soap [bio-degradable], a good stiff brush with a long handle , water hose with a tapered brass nozzle & some elbow grease will do it. If you are cleaning moss or green slime off of your slate...use a moss roof application as well...it will be absorbed into the stone & help prevent moss/green slime return for a period of time. Looks like a sunny day Project!

power wash! If you don't have one, you can rent one at most hardware stores.

Muriatic acid, also known as hydrochloric acid, is the typical acid of choice when etching concrete. It is inexpensive and a dangerous chemical that can damage almost anything it comes in contact with. It will eat through clothes, metal, skin, and creates a noxious vapor that can cause surrounding metals to rust as well as burn the lining in your nose and lungs. You can purchase it from your local home improvement center for less than $10 a gallon at a strength of 31.45%.

Brush on rinse off, will restore the colors of the stone.

Let dry and use a sealer
