How can I get rid of squirrels they're destroying my yard and plants. There's holes everywhere. I want to get rid of them permanently. My neighbor has the same problem.

There is no way to get rid of squirrels only to deter what they are eating.Makes sprays with hot pepper and garlic,spread blood mall around.Plant castor bean plants. Apply castor oil.If you have holes in the plants there are other critters as well.
mint plants have worked for me, i have a flower container garden and i put 4 or 5 small pots of mint out, they don't like the smell and it works well.
Try spraying fox piss around the area that can be bought from a feed store.
This might be not a solution , but get a dog,, my 2 love to chase them... ( never got one yet ) but thats how we keep them away, We even have red squirrels and they seem to have learned that dogs are not there friend!!
Try trapping them and take them to the woods far away.
