Update For Your Old Terra Cotta Pots!

1 Material
I spruce up my front porch EVERY Spring. I try really hard to NOT go right out and buy a bunch of new stuff to put out there. I look at the furniture/pillows/ accessories the I used last year and try to come up with a way to repurpose it. This year I wanted to doll up a few of my old flower pots.
I stared by cleaning off the dirt and cobwebs with paper towels and then grabbed some leftover white pain and went to work on those pots.
I loaded my paint brush with my leftover white paint and then wiped some off on that paper towel so that I could control the amount of paint the went on to the post better.
Once I had the pot mostly covered with paint I let it dry to the touch. Next I use a well worn sanding sponge to remove enough of the paint to highlight the pretty details of the pots design.
I'm really happy with this new look for this terra cotta pots that I have had for probably twenty years! I also think this could be use for more than plants. The might make fun candle holders!
