Hi, I'm from South Africa (guess we are not eligible for the prize) and just want to know what grass I can plant for a lawn in mostly shady areas? Most of my front lawn is in a shady area and full of barren patches. I want to fill these with lawn grass. Thanks

Can you get St. Augustine? It's pretty delicate, but grows well in Texas shade. Whatever you do, do not use weed killer on it. That's the voice of experience speaking.

Have you tried redbuds. They do great in Missouri under other trees.

We have a coastal grass mix here that does well in Oregon. Check with your local nursery for best strains.
