How can you save your wooden fence when a post has rotted?

Replacing our fence is just not possible at this time but we need to somehow brace a post where it has rotted at the ground.

Depending on the type of fence. Use a similar post or treated 2X4 and sink it in the ground in front of the rotted post. Use long screws to screw both together. Paint or stain the support post same color as your fence.

You could drive rebar on both side of the post and use straps to connect it. Be forewarned that rebar is stubborn to remove.
if you are going to bother putting in posts next to the rotting ones, i would suggest just take out the posts that are rotton and reconnect the rest of the fence back. by the time you get done putting in other things... you will have spent as much money as you would putting in new posts.
so i'd say, just put in new posts! good luck!
Take off the two fence panels attached to the rotting post and put in a new post, reattach the panels.
