Grew tomatoes on the deck. 2 years less success. Try again?

Love homegrown tomatoes. They did well for several years. Last 2 years the plants did not thrive. Any suggestions?

Did you start each season with fresh soil or add tomato food?
What was the process that was used for growing the tomatoes?
Add new soil and food also eggshells or antacid tablets.
Make sure they don't get too wet. My tomatoes blighted from too much moisture.
