You should water your house plants when dry to the touch. Outdoor plants will depend on how hot your area is .Watering outside should be done in the AM.

House plants need to be watered once a week. I usually try and do this on the same day. I pick Mondays for mine. This way you can ensure they are getting a good seven days in between. Rule of thumb with houseplants... less is more. If foliage turns yellow you are giving them too much water. The container they are in needs to be one that will drain well. That being said, I find in clay pots they need to be watered more because the clay absorbs some of the moisture. Aloe plants and other succulents can be watered once a week in the summer and once every two weeks in the winter.
Outdoor plants in very high temperatures 90 -100° need to be watered twice a day. And temperatures 75 to 85° once a day. typically in the morning and at sunset. Watering them during heavy sunlight tends to burn them up quickly.
    Happy gardening ! 💐💐💐

Totally agree. Indoor plants, I water slowly until I see the first drop of water coming into the tray. Another method is to let them soak in the sink half hour with water 1/3-1/2 way up the pot.

It depends on the plant. For example, I put 3 ice cubes weekly in my orchid plant.
