Roses- when I trim them back I don't get any flowers skinny stems

    Stop trimming. I only prune off the dead twigs. You are probably cutting off the buds.

    Roses are forgiving when pruned too much. But if you are cutting a new cane it will take a long time for it get strong enough to produce flowers. Only trim back in early spring. Look at what you will be cutting. Do you see a smal bump or indentation above where you want to cut....then cut above the this. Roses love banana peels. Just cut up throw around plant. Good luck

    The banana peels a nutritionally good for your roses & other plants, they help them to ward off insects & strengthen the plant...yes, give the rose a chance to grow...
