    Not sure what area you live in , but if you talk to the person walking around frantically watering and pruning the plants at Lowe's, I've found that ours is remarkably well informed about what to plant and where. Good luck !

    Azalea, lily of the valley, columbine, phlox, coleus, astilbe are also nice!

    Depending on the zone you live in. Here in Indianapolis, In Hostas or coral bells are great for shade.
