Is there a type of grass that grows in constant shady area?

    tall fescue is a good cool season and zoysia is a good warm season grass that are shade tolerant.

    I haven't found any so I planted hosta and ferns there.

    Fescue grows all year in the shade even in Texas.

    Dicondra is a ground cover that works well where grasses don't grow.
