If you're growing hot peppers in your garden, you already have most of what you need for this remedy. chop a handful of peppers and boils them in a pot of water, then strains it into a spray bottle to use on other plants. It's best to wear gloves while handling the peppers, and be extra cautious when straining the water so the vapors don't get in your eyes. If you dont have peppers on hand then do the same with cayenne pepper

I don't know what flowers are affected or what the critters attacking them look like.... but, Sevin is not natural or organic so try something our grandparents used: soap and water. You can add some cayenne pepper into the mix. Murphy's Oil Soap is good, so is leftover bath water that had soap and even Epsom salts are ok. Put in a spray bottle and get all the leaves and stems and flowers. Keep the area around the flowers clean, not too wet. Try this cheap and safe idea in the meantime. Good luck!

I would go to your local nursery, and ask there advice, they are working with plants all the time, and have a wealth of knowledge. Some hardware stores in Australia have green houses, and there starf are knowledgeable to. I wouldn't take any chances with my precious plants! Hopes this advice helps. Kay Adelaide Australia
