I have moss all over my yard. Is there any way I can get rid of it?

My backyard is mostly in shade, but my front yard gets several hours of sun each day. A. F.

Lime takes time...your ground is high in acidity & moss loves that; so you need to change the soil chemistry to get rid of the moss. Apply the lime as directed by your garden center experts & continue to put it down especially just before rain, so it can be washed into the soil & taken u p by the moss. IF you have too many trees & bushes in your 'shaded lawn are'; it's time to open up the area to create a drier atmosphere that will help deter the moss from growing.

First apply Scotts Moss out, then add pelletized Lime, follow with a regular fertilizing program every six to eight weeks.

I live in Oregon with a heavily wood area by my back yard, all the lime and moss kill have led to 3 complete replants of grass. Forget grass in that area is your only chance, look to low growing leafy weeds.

Moss out then a great grass that will take over.
