Lime treatment...it takes time...your ground is high in acidity & moss loves that; so you need to change the soil chemistry to get rid of the moss. Apply the lime as directed by your garden center experts & continue to put it down especially just before rain, so it can be washed into the soil & taken u p by the moss. IF you have too many trees & bushes in your 'shaded lawn are'; it's time to open up the area to create a drier atmosphere that will help deter the moss from growing.
First apply Scotts Moss out,then add pelletized Lime,follow with a regular fertilizing program every six to eight weeks.
I live in Oregon with a heavily wood area by my back yard, all the lime and moss kill have led to 3 complete replants of grass. Forget grass in that area is your only chance, look to low growing leafy weeds.
Moss out then a great grass that will take over.
