Textured wallpaper. Or strips of wood to resemble board and batten: http://blog.homedepot.com/diy-board-and-batten-wainscoting/. Measure carefully so the battens end up covering the seams.

Great ideas from Kcama. I saw on a previous post someone mentioning removing the seam molding, patching with drywall patching compound, sanding smooth, priming and painting. Me, lazy person that I am, I'd go with the board and batten! ;-)
Put trim boards over the seams..size-3/4" wide and 1/4" thick..it gives it a nice look. Another option is to wallpaper the walls..but this is the best way!
Bead board?
We have those hideous things in our manufactured home in Texas. We primed and painted right over them, and while they are still there, they are hardly noticeable. Much better than the ugly printed wallboard. Ugh! I'd really like to meet the person who came up with that. But I promise you, they wouldn't want to hear what I have to say, lol!
