Can u paint over laminate cupboards?

I'm a renter and the kitchen cupboards are UGLY. Is it possible to paint laminate?

There are several you tube videos you can watch. The basics are light sanding, prime (like Kilz) and then paint. Just make sure you don't lose your security deposit by doing this work. If the landlord agrees that you can do this, get it in writing!

You can paint anything with the right paint. Kilz primer first. Or something similar.
Be sure to clean any grease from the surface first. Light sanding to any smooth shiny surface. Then Kilz.
Yes. Use a lot of sanding wipe clean and let dry. Then use a really good primer. Don't skip this step. It's too important. an enamel paint works well. I painted mine years ago and it can really change the look with a lot of effort but little money.
