Keep stem ends cut every few days to allow continuous water to go up the stem. Cut at an angle. Change water at least every other day.

Crush up an aspirin and add it to the vase. Trim the bottom of the stem just a bit each day with a sharp knife not scissors.

Add an aspirin to the water. When you trim stems, make sure you remove all leaves off stem, cut with a very sharp knife.

As others said, cut back, and **change that water! Also the cooler the place you put them helps a lot.
