Electrical Question- last night power went out in part of the house...

Last night power went out in PART of the house. Reset the breakers and GFI reset - nothing happened.
I had the entire house rewired and brought up to current code a number of years back. On a slab, so no critters under the house. I inspect for entry points where animals could creep in on a regular basis.
I have never had this happen?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If any of your neighbors have the same problem it probably is the power company transformer. If its just you,, could be one leg of the power coming into your home has no power. Also there could be a loose wire or short in a junction circuit feeding part of the house. You can call the power company and have them check it out or the electrician that did the rewiring. Some You tube videos that may give you some insight. Good luck!

One of your breakers went out and needs to be replaced.
You may have squirrels, mice or rats in the attic chewing on wires. Electricity is a huge fire risk, call the electrician asap. If a wire has been chewed through you could be in immediate danger.
Is the power that's not working on more than one circuit?
This happened to us, and the problem was at the utility's electrical connection to our house. I would start with them--they'll come out to check right away.
If your breaker is up to date,, next time you can do it yourself. No special tool required. You can get the breakers at home depot. Pop the old one out and bring it with you. They will give you the correct one. All you have to do is pop it in.
Just make sure everything is off.
you can also do a search on YouTube for step by step instructions on how to replace a breaker. Very helpful.
