I have a geranium from last spring still in its original pot. It won't die. Can I take a cutting off it? And how do I get it to sprout?
r: Is it green mold or is it black slime? It makes a difference. Green mold can just indicate a wet winter and you can kill it with a spray of lime/sulfur (Bordeaux) or a copper based fungicide. If it is black, it could indicate a disease which is causing sap to flow from the bark of the tree. You may want to take close up pictures of the problem areas and show them to the staff at your local cooperative extension office for positive diagnosis And then you can remove it if need be. Best of luck!!
I have pressure washed trees. Doesn't cure the problem, but looks nicer.
