Can you grow ficus from a cutting?

  • Yes, you can but it depends on the species how easy it is. You should take a cutting (cut a branch with a 45 degree angle), strip off the lower 1/3 of leaves, dip the cut end in root (growing) hormone and plant the branch in a pot of a mixture of dirt & mulch to help keep it damp. The new cutting should be kept at a temperature above 70 degrees F.
