    You can plant annuals anytime.Make sure you choose a cooler time of the day to avoid heat related stress and water.

    You should and keep them from drying out. You are in a warmer location and if you have favorites I would certainly get them now. Here it is still to cold to plant, but is I see a variedty I know I will have a hard time finding it I will purchase and weather the plant on the porch.

    Depends on which part of NC you live in! I live in the NC mountains and we are told to not plant annuals until after Mother's Day, which is just around the corner now. I'm sure any other place in NC is safe now, since I'm in the coldest part.
