I know there is always the option to paint the cement porch, but that wears off quickly..what other easy options are available?

You might try outdoor carpet tiles.

I like this, but it is exposed to extreme weather..rain, snow & hail.. Janet (below) suggested outdoor carpet too, but I'm worried about mold and sogginess .

If you prime the area first by filling cracks and holes, then sanding off any old paint or uneven areas ; apply primer, epoxy paint, then masonry sealer , it should last you quite a while .

Staining is an option. My house is 12 years old and I have stained concrete floors. Attached is an old, poorly lit photo of my kitchen. You can see how it's been scored with a circular saw and a diamond tipped masonry blade to look like tile. The first pic is my floor; the second is one from online that looks a lot like mine with good lighting and a larger score pattern. ;-)

Thank you.. I didn't know you could stain cement.. I'll have to check this out..I wonder how it would hold up under our extreme weather conditions..

    Purchase a colorful outdoor carpet.

Thank you for these great ideas.. I'm a little concerned about the outdoor carpet and outdoor carpet tiles because it is on the side of the house exposed to extreme weather..lots of rain, snow, hail etc. But will look into all the ideas

Be careful of too smooth shiny cement....it can become slick when wet or damp. We covered our porch with indoor/outdoor carpeting....is on the north side of our house but gets rain and lasts about 5 years before we have to replace it.

Supposedly it holds up well. The stain sinks into the concrete rather than lying on top as paint does.

I've seen stained porches. They're beautiful. If you don't like it, there are a lot of beautiful indoor/outdoor rugs available these days

No. It does get wet but dries very fast...no mold even in the far corners.
