It is exposed to the rainy weather of the Pacific Northwest? Any tips on materials and techniques that will provide a long lasting finish?

Although I don't live in your area, I have stained outdoor concrete several times with much success. You need to buy cement stain, at any Home Depot, Lowe's or Ace, and then get the top coat. You'll apply several coats of the finish. The directions are really simple. I rolled my stain on once and once did it by hand which puts a real strain on your knees! I hope I've helped!

we stained the concrete pad before our screen porch was installed. We went to a lumber yard, and purchased an environmental friendly stain. Easy application and its still looking great after 2 years. Concrete Stain Water Based 30 Colors Eco-Stain™ by SureCrete. We plan on doing our front concrete.

I live in the PNW, and I don't think any paint holds up to our climate. But if you did an acid stain on your concret that would probably last ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8bThpcumjs

Agreed. Paint isn't the answer for us. Thanks for your response.
