What is the temperature range in which it is best to paint?

    First Are you painting inside or out? Inside your home I would say anywhere from 65 degrees to 75, not much warmer because the paint will dry too quickly. Outside above 65 degrees too, but wait til all the dew is dried off , you don't want to paint when its damp. Most paint companies will say on the paint can what temps are best. Don't want to paint outside when its too warm either..

    A "professional painter" told me I could paint outside in inclement weather as long as the temperature was above 45 degrees! I didn't think that sounded correct. Thank you.

    as long as there,s NO Humidity & air is dry -it doesn,t matter

      So people who are in humid climates are better off doing it outside? That must be hard!!

    Check the paint can for temperature recommendations.
