How to get rid of a milky spot on hardwood floors?

    My Mom taught me to use mayonnaise! Just rub it in to the spot, let it sit for awhile, then wipe it off. It has worked for me!

    Those types of spots are usually caused by water damage; mayo is a good fix, but if it doesn't work...[most often it does]...you may have to sand the area & carefully apply stain to blend it in & then re-seal the spot. I've used Tung Oil successfully for re-sealing such a spot. CAREFULLY experiment .

    Try using a fresh teabag...soak it in hot water to saturate it, squeeze out the excess water, then lay it on the spot. The tea will "stain" the floor and help hide the problem.
