For Traditional style decorating, painting

for Traditional style decorating is it acceptable to have walls, trim and doors all painted the same color?

    Hi! Absolutely! traditionally, the molding (trim) along the floors, ceilings and windows as well as window frames and doors are all painted in one color, usually white to contrast and frame the colors on the walls. I have also seen stained wood, shades of off-white, eggshell, beige and even black. Good luck!

    Traditional? No. Traditionally trim and doors are a lighter shade than walls, unless walls are already white.

  • you could have them all the same but the trim would be a gloss and the walls would be an eggshell or flat finish to differentiate
