How to paint a wooden door?

My interior door has stains and i'm not sure which paint to use.

Take it down and remove the hardware . Sand it, kilz it to prime it so stains don't show through . Depending on what door it leads to --bath, kitchen , etc., there are specific paints out there now . We just just got some for our cabinets that is a semi-gloss, enamel . It's designed for kitchen cabinets and supposedly easy to clean up with soap and water .
