What kind of paint do you use to third coat a fiberglass deck porch?

We built the house in 1998 and got many perfect years out of the original fiberglass deck porches that are close to salt water on a Bay.

The second coat was put on about 5 years ago and I noticed it is now peeling in a few spots though the original coat is still there and intact.

Should we use just exterior deck paint or is there something special?

You can use exterior deck paint, but make sure to prime and sand away the peeling spots first- and try a new sealer, maybe it will last longer- good luck!

After you prep it, sanding smooth the chip spot, go to an auto repair shop and ask them about clear coating. they use this for fiber glass on cars. There is jet ( or airplane ) paint that might work well. Clear coating is what you probably want.
