The shower basin is pink ceramic and would be very difficult to remove I would like it white but am not sure what to use that will not wear off with use.

I concur, paint would be the easiest way to change the color.

We had a bathtub re-glazed this year and it looks brand new. We hired a company to have it professionally done. It looks brand new. It's pricier to hire it out but we thought it was worth the professional results.
