How do you get seeds from cactus?

I have some cactus that I started from seed (I got these seeds from my mother a few years back)and I want to start some plants to give as gifts.

Growing up, I had a neighbor who was big into this. I can understand if the cactus flowers but not sure about those that don't. Some you can take a cutting and dip in root hormone and start that way. This is a YOUTUBE video I found.
