How do U weatherproof a Barbie doll for garden life?

Her legs are some strange sort of rubber that will not take a primer sealer. It goes on but stays sticky.

Unless it's important to have an actual barbie, go to the dollar tree and get a doll in the toy section. They are all plastic. When you get your garden life done, please share!!

I run a homeless shelter for abused Barbies. I give them a second chance in life 😜 The ones I use in gardens I let the weather do what it may. I'm repurposing them in other ways now and need to prime them white. Thanx

marine varnish...triple thick glaze (actual name)....poly is the word to look for...such as polyeurathane, poly coat...best to use behr or minwax products. I build trellises and garden furniture and found these brands have the longest use life and resist yellowing and fading better than most

paint is not always waterproof...after painting you should still varnish or shellac to ensure rain will not damage your work
