Fabulous Crafts You Can Make With Vintage Doilies!

1 Material
I've found 30 amazing crafts that you can make with Vintage doilies and featured them in two different posts on my blog. I'm sharing three of the most impressive (in my opinion) right here. Do you have a huge collection of vintage doilies? I've about 50 that I'm afraid to use because I don't want to run out. Stupid, I know. I can always buy more from charity shops/thrift stores and eBay. I can even make more! But I do like them to be genuinely vintage.
Sweet Paul magazine created this wrapped lampshade and I think that it looks marvellous. Although I'd be concerned about the light distribution. Generally, light shades are quite good at directing light where it should go, instead of wasting energy and allowing it to be dispersed all around the room. It could still be a great idea to create mini versions (clip on shades) for over some festoon lighting.
I adore this curtain blind created by Free People Blog. It's something that I think would love marvellous in my bathroom. Perhaps I will dig into my doily supply box and use a mix of vintage doilies and lace to create a blind.
I certainly have this problem; the cat using the edge of the couch as a scratching post. We use a spray with water to try and stop her, but we aren't always there and she continues to do it. Covering the overly scratched parts with dyed vintage doilies is a genius idea! Find out how to dye doilies via my projects in profile! The idea comes from GrowingSpaces.net.
